This was certainly the trip full of twists and turns for me. Not too many pictures today afraid guys, as myself & the camera took a dip in the small pool by accident – 👎
Thankfully only knee deep and the old faithful camera managed to keep going until around half way through the walk, before she gave up the ghost.
However on a more positive note the walk was as always totally amazing, so many small & meduim waterfalls, and we all know I love getting pictures of waterfalls. Hence why there is a shortage of landscape pictures, the camera had died. ☹️ That isn’t to say that the views were not there. Given the perfect weather and conditions the scenic photographs could have been just as endless.
As a bonus Del & Delila joined me just below the summit for some lunch.
Thankfully it was a rather late lunch, which I am not convinced was such a good thing. From lunch onwards, we simply took perhaps every wrong turning we could. Resulting in trying to find out wa back to the car park in the dark. Certainly a situation, I never intend to find myself in again. Far too many sheer drops, misleading paths etc for my liking. Thankfully via the torch on the old phone we found our back.
Cant wait to get back up there & actually complete the full walk. Specailly as the camera is now living again after a little tlc. 🙂🤲
A great long route to hike, walk, cycle or perhaps even run if you venture along the path up around the hills & mountains. Nothing too steep or screed based, giving some great views and routes. worth mentioning though be sure to have a good map or planned route to follow.
A well known walk because it’s very good. The outward route is a steady, fairy gentle climb and the views over Llyn Dinas are slendid, Throw in a visit to Beddgelert and back along the river and it makes an excellent walk.
Direction finding is pretty easy. leave the car park by the gate by the toilets, turn right and start climbing. Keep going over the ‘saddle’ and down to Llyn Dinas.
Then follow the rivers back to the start!

After days of relentless rain sweeping across Eryri National Park, I made my way toward Ceunant Mawr, tucked into a steep wooded gorge near Llanberis in Wales. The air still carried the weight of the storm — damp, heavy, and rich…

It took just one look out of the caravan door at daft o’clock this morning and I knew straight away where I would be headed, straight for the Snowcapped Tryfan Mountain. However little did I know just how beautiful…

A location I came across, purly by accident whilst looking for other walking route. Little did I know what was really about to be uncovered as I explored the Twin Penmachno Arched Stone Bridges…

It’s been one of those mornings and nothing is going right. But I am determined to still make as much as I can of it, so off got a simple drive around the back roads of Snowdonia National Park to see what views I find…
