For some reason, I couldn’t drive to the caravan in the evening as normal so decided I was going to leave early doors and finally get the Llyn Padarn Lonley Tree at sunset. And it serioulsy did not let me down. Whilst it might have been better to be a little earlier to catch the sunrise perfectly, I could not complain at this for a first planned sunrise photography session.
Appeared I was not the only person to have this idea of getting there bright and early. It wasn’t very long before various other photographers arrived together with a few dog walkers, all looking to get their photos.
Tried to get just a couple of black and whites at an attempt of bonus pictures, but they just appeared so weak compared to the full colour photographs.
If planned out as guided below, this route is perhaps the easiest I had added to the web site.
It goes without saying that The Lonley Tree is the most photographed trees in North Wales. The Llanberis and Llyn Padarn is well visited by photographers, mountain hikers, train enthusiasts and plenty more.

A location I came across, purly by accident whilst looking for other walking route. Little did I know what was really about to be uncovered as I explored the Twin Penmachno Arched Stone Bridges…

It’s been one of those mornings and nothing is going right. But I am determined to still make as much as I can of it, so off got a simple drive around the back roads of Snowdonia National Park to see what views I find…

Finally a chance to catch the Lonley Tree during an autumnal morning on the Llyn Padarn, in North Wales. Hopefully you will all agree, it wasn’t a wasted trip with some amazing blue hour results…

Drive past this location almost daily. So where better for a quick lunch break to pull in and have a quick look around with the camera in hand.

Hi again it’s is nice to see you again as you might already know hi it is Evelyn here…
Someone got me up at 6.00 am #rude. A fun fact about the lonely tree if you go to the side of it, it looks like a reindeer (just to get you in the Christmas spirit).
