LLanberis Lonely Tree
Dashing down to the caravan on a Friday night, traffic was a nightmare as always. So I decided to take a slight detour and pay a visit to the LLanberis Lonely Tree to see if I could get any good photos.

For the last few years, I have been looking out of the caravan door & wondering what mountains these were, near Llanyfni Quarries. So off I went for a quick drive over to Penygroes, following the route through to Llanyfni. Within no time I was looking at the base area of the mountain range which includes the Llanyfni Quarries. A small car park, (free, at date of publication)), just inside the village. Little did I know what was coming, certainly not what I had expected.
Packed up the camera, lenses and old faithful lunch box, so off we set up the sinle carriage road. Within no time, it was clear this was going to be wildlife walk finding plenty of off the cuff animals. Some of which I am afraid, I didnt get to photograph as they were just too quick and I had not prepared enough.
The first of which was the Peacock in a farm yard barn. The moment it spotted me trying to get to my camera, it was gone like grease lightening. Goes without saying, I am already planning to come back. ;).
However, disappointed I was, within no time I came across my next surprise. Only a couple of Lama’s enjoying grazing in a field. Why is when you want the animals to play like they were, they decide to stop & stare at you. So pictures taken, it was time to carry on with the walk upto the quarries via the road.
Eventually I found the turning to the left, leading into a covered wooded area that would take me upto the qaurries. Off through the arched trees I went, within no time wandering through fields unitl I came to the remains of the old quarries to some amazing views.
What do you think of the outcome?
Starting at car park on Lon Ddwr, wandering up the road towards and past the Basecamp Wales, turning right onto Lon Tyddyn Agnes. an average tarmaced hill.
Then turning left though the kissing gate into the shaded tree area, through a couple of small fields until finally leading into the Llanyfni Quarries.

I woke up today and thought to myself, what I am going to do today?
As I leisurely strolled along the shoreline, the stillness of the night enveloped the scene in an almost surreal tranquility Point of Ayr Lighthouse Summer Sunset. Almost as if time itself had momentarily paused to appreciate the quiet beauty before me. The darkness of the sky was so deep and velvety that it contrasted sharply with the solitary silhouette of the lighthouse, which stood tall and unwavering, a silent guardian against the encroaching night.
An amazing little wander around the old quarry and lake at Dorothea Quarry in the welsh village of Talysarn in the Snowdonia National Park region. Within minutes of arriving, calmness and serene views were springing up everywhere.
After settling into the starting point near Pont-y-Pair, the trail gently dips into the lush greenery that lines the riverbank. The air is filled with the gentle murmur of flowing water and the distant calls of songbirds…
As the gentle sea breeze whispers through the rigging and the distant call of seagulls echoes across the bay, stepping aboard the Galeon Andalucia feels like embarking on a voyage back in time.
As always, watching the Dinas Dinlle Golden Hour Sunset from the caravan window and just knew had to get out there with the camera…
