Baurmouth Boat
Having recently visited Precipice Walk over in Barmouth, I could only imagine some of the views available during the golden hours, so a revisit just had to be done during Barmouth spring sunset.
Barmouth Ship Wreck

As expected, Barmouth did not let me down for some amazing views and photographic opportunities. Parking right on the prom, the evening could not have started any better as the sunset was just starting. I could have sat on those sand dunes and watched the sun come down all evening, but that wasn’t why I was there.

With a quick wander over the dunes on Barmouth beach, it became evident very quickly that this visit was going to be one that just kept giving. Starting with the amazing little wrecked ship on the beach. With the sun just bathing it in the golden hour sunlight, a few photos just had to be taken.

Then, wandering around the left of the beach, it wasn’t too long before I saw the famous Barmouth Viaduct. A grade II listed single-track wooden viaduct crossing the estuary of the River Mawddach. Measuring 900 yards or 820 m long carrying the Cambrian Line, it is the longest viaduct in Wales and one of the oldest viaducts in regular use throughout Britain. But once you see the sun setting behind it and bathing it in light, you just can’t help but get the old camera out.

Once I had finished wandering around the beach area, I just had to go for a walk into town. But unfortunately, the sunset was just about, and darkness quickly fell across the town center. Having said that, however, this is just going to have to be another visit, and the views of old, quaint buildings and streets would be just grand in the right kind of light.
