Any way we went to the Lonely Tree just before blue hour if you look down into the water you can see the reflection. That’s what I liked the most as the tree was highlighted by the blue hour’s night sky. As you can tell I didn’t get that many pictures today because I forgot my gloves, but I did… not go back to caravan even though my fingers were like ice cubes #notfun. But I promise there are more fun places for you to read and go to explore. Back to it, as we were there, we had a look at some other things but we did not take any pictures of them. One of them was the path round the Lonely Tree leading to… another path, but if you look straight ahead there is a view of the entire crystal clear Llyn Pardarn leading, (leading lines) up to the frosted mountains for a nice view. These would make some fantastic photographs to frame in your room.
I did take a picture of a rock (I know sound boring), but it was heart shaped and look like a good photograph but I accidently deleted it or I would of pinned it below. Lynn Padarn is so famous because of the views of Snowdonia’s mountains stunning view and mountain ranges.
I learned something new from Pops today. Long Exposure takes it down in (let’s say) 6 or 7 seconds without it will go in 1 second. Making the water in some pictures appear smooth.
The secret waterfall is famous because of it topical appearance. It’s a secret place in Dinorwig quarry, in the mountain. It looks like it appears out of nowhere from within the cave, you get to it be ducking under a fence and climbing a bit of a steep hillside to get there.
We went through a tunnel, (just to annoy someone, Pops) I said that is a big black bear in the tunnel and pretended to be scared of the bear. We were hopping on stones in the tunnel because off the water under our feet was too deep to walk through. When we got to the other side we saw some steep steps that go upto the next 3 levels.
As we started off up the mountain, we were counting the steps to see how many there was, but we stopped at 67, but I’m sure there must have been 422 steps, but we did not climbed all of them because my shoes stared to hurt. Now back to it, we were planning to climb 3 pairs of stairs to get to the top, but never made it due to my sore feet.
At Dinorwic Quarry there were some mountain goats, people don’t see them that much, they come out at dawn and we were lucky enough to saw them, but I didn’t take any photos because my camera died as it won’t come back on. Perhaps forever RIP to my baby camera. NOW NO MORE SADNESS, sure Pops will soon find me a new camera.
The buildings were from 1830 when we went to it, they were all broken down in pieces. There is around 700 old buildings from the 1830. We still have 697 more to go, you know they say 3 down 697 more to go! One had iron robot in it, was like a work shop for the old time. It was like I was in the 1830 just by looking in the broken house the roof fell off over time. When no one looked after it since it became disused!
After we was about to go Pops want to look at the sunken dwelling house a house that has been sunken for 88 years!
When I was editing this I want to give Gwen, (nickname Pops Lego lady) a big shout out it’s her last car boot sale today for this year we will miss her as the time goes past GOOD LUCK GWEN, see you next year.
Thank you all for reading on One man see you next time hoped you liked it peace out (for now) I will be back soon BYEEEEEEEEEE
I have just pinched this section from Pops, working smart, not hard as he says.
Thankfully parking is abundant around the Dinorwic Quarry areas. Paid parking around the Slate museum, was £5 during a previous visit to the Anglesey Barracks for 24hrs. But on this occasion, I parked for free within the bus drop off zone here which takes you directly to the midlevel’s.
In no time at all, we were walking around the quarry and simply soaking up the views and atmosphere. Planning compositions and possible photography opportunities.
My plan on this occasion however had to involve getting up to the higher levels where the Machinery and cutting sheds are. Nothing like aiming high. However what I discovered was so much more than I expected. As happens so often, the photography opportunities simply took over any concept of time. Caves, tunnels, mountain views and building to explore like you would not believe.
Quick note before it slips my mind, the rusty of 40ft ladders that you would think nobody uses. Climbers do still use them as one of them came over the top from behind me as I was setting the camera, was nearly a change of clothing scenario.
I could waffle about this trip through and up Dinorwic Quarry for ages, so let’s keep it short and sweet. Routes are generally well worn and very clear to follow on the lower levels. But the higher up you go, the routes become less obvious, so caution should be taken, keeping in mind time for the walk back down. Regardless, how high you walk, you are going to some just amazing views and create memories like you would not believe.
If your luck you may get to see, hear or even photography the local feral Welsh mountain goats that live in and around the Quarry. My luck kicked in just as I was leaving, so no time to grab a couple of shots.

A location I came across, purly by accident whilst looking for other walking route. Little did I know what was really about to be uncovered as I explored the Twin Penmachno Arched Stone Bridges…

It’s been one of those mornings and nothing is going right. But I am determined to still make as much as I can of it, so off got a simple drive around the back roads of Snowdonia National Park to see what views I find…

Finally a chance to catch the Lonley Tree during an autumnal morning on the Llyn Padarn, in North Wales. Hopefully you will all agree, it wasn’t a wasted trip with some amazing blue hour results…

Drive past this location almost daily. So where better for a quick lunch break to pull in and have a quick look around with the camera in hand.

Hi again it’s is nice to see you again as you might already know hi it is Evelyn here…
Someone got me up at 6.00 am #rude. A fun fact about the lonely tree if you go to the side of it, it looks like a reindeer (just to get you in the Christmas spirit).

As I carefully navigate the uneven, rocky terrain, the air is thick with the earthy scent of mineral-rich soil — a heady mixture that evokes both nostalgia and awe.

It’s been on radar for a while. But the Mach Loop is a location for serious photographers. Amateur like me perhaps not best suited, but hey how will I learn if I don’t push myself or even try???

The skys were clear and all I could think about was how today was the perfect day to photograph the Manx Rose, over on Anglesey. The tide would be out and the sun would be setting in just the right place.

Last night I knew I wanted to see the Dolphins; we checked when the high tide will be. It was at 12:56pm so about lunch time. We wanted to go there at the highest tide because

As I leisurely strolled along the shoreline, the stillness of the night enveloped the scene in an almost surreal tranquility Point of Ayr Lighthouse Summer Sunset. Almost as if time itself had momentarily paused to appreciate the quiet beauty before me. The darkness of the sky was so deep and velvety that it contrasted sharply with the solitary silhouette of the lighthouse, which stood tall and unwavering, a silent guardian against the encroaching night.
